Power Soccer feels strikingly similar to something around “Fifa 95″ in that it has all the bare bones of a good hard-coded soccer game, minus the flashy gameplay found in modern sports games. It allows for the creation and management of a customizable team, which the player uses to compete against opponents.
The engine is reliable enough to consistently play through 95% of games without issue, but does show a tendency toward some minor instabilities. Unfortunately these instabilities can take away from gameplay when prevalent, but don’t seem to be a common occurrence.
The player-base for this game is huge, with competition always readily available. There does seem to be a lot of players that harbor a competitive attitude towards this game, which may be a sign of devotion.
